This resource I have created is a seven page booklet which contains a team activity that has been used many times with adult learners. These learners were completing a Level 1 Employability Course with City and Guilds and had to complete a module named: ‘Working as Part of a Team.’ This booklet covers unit 4 and unit 6 of the team working module. This group project gives learners a set of instructions to create a business plan that will be used to launch a new business venture. They are required to deliver this business plan in the form of a presentation, which they will used to show potential investors or clients of their services. The team will be required to plan everything from the company logo to advertising for staff members to join their firm. Depending on the ability of your learners this task usually takes between 3- 6 hours to complete before the learners deliver their presentation. All instructions for this task are in the booklet, as well as task sheets that will enable them to complete this task and also to reflect on the work they have completed. This activity has also been used with KS3 learners recently with great success.

This is a twelve page booklet that I designed for adult learners who were completing a Level 1 City and Guilds Employability/ Personal Social Skills Course. This booklet is for the ‘Interpersonal Relationships’ module. All the question, scenarios and tasks meet the qualification criteria. As a tutor you can either go through the booklet page by page, using it as the base for your lesson plan or give the learners the book as a research project. This is a 24 page task booklet based on the book: Uncle Montague’s Tales of Terror. I created this booklet for my KS3 English reading class. The booklet contains 22 different tasks that pupils can complete as they read through the book. There are tasks for each of the ten chapters. Tasks include: Description writing ( articles, reviews etc…) Creative writing Reading comprehension Rich Text Format and Word Document files attached for compatibility.

This is a 18 page PPT which is based on the book Hatchet. I created this following reading chapter 4 of the book: just before Brian enters the woods. The class will imagine that they are in the same position as Brian and will write a list of items that they feel will aid survival until rescue comes. They will then discuss animals that they many encounter in the wilderness and the dangers of encountering these animals. Following this, the learners are given a scenario and then will answers 8 scenario based multi-choice questions ( answers and short explanations provided). The aim of the quiz is to determine whether or not they would survive a night in the wilderness! An extension task is provided also at the end of the PPT. a fun classroom activity.
